HoReCa Salary Guide: What Roles Pay in India in 2026
From entry-level F&B staff to executive chefs and hotel GMs, here is a realistic overview of hospitality salaries across India's major cities in 2026.
Salary transparency is still relatively rare in India's hospitality sector. Job postings often list "as per industry standards" — which tells candidates nothing and wastes everyone's time. This guide is our attempt to change that.
Based on placements made through HoReCaStaff.in and market data from across India's HoReCa sector, here is a realistic overview of what different roles are paying in 2026. All figures are monthly gross CTC unless otherwise noted.

What Affects Your Salary
Brand and property tier — Luxury and upper-upscale properties pay significantly more than budget or mid-scale, even for equivalent roles.
City — Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bengaluru consistently pay the most. Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai are close behind. Tier 2 cities are growing but still lag.
International experience — Candidates who have worked abroad, particularly in the Middle East, Europe, or Southeast Asia, typically command a 15–30% premium on return.
Certifications — Formal hotel management degrees, WSET qualifications, food safety certifications, and PMS training all add measurable value.
Negotiation — Salary ranges are exactly that — ranges. Candidates who research the market, know their value, and negotiate professionally consistently land at the higher end.
A Note on Benefits
Base salary is only part of the picture. Many hospitality roles include accommodation, meals on duty, service charge distribution, and medical insurance. When evaluating an offer, factor in the full package — a lower base with accommodation and meals can be more valuable than a higher base without.
